The Inca Empire, also known as the Incan Empire and the Inka Empire, was the largest empire in pre-Columbian America. The administrative, political and military center of the empire was in the city of Cusco. The Inca civilization arose from the Peruvian highlands sometime in the early 13th century. Peru is home to the ancient Incan city high in the Andes mountains, Machu Picchu. The region around Machu Picchu, including the Sacred Valley, Inca Trail and colonial city of Cusco, is rich in archaeological sites. On Peru’s arid Pacific coast is Lima, the capital, with a preserved colonial center and important collections of pre-Columbian art.
I visited the great ancient empire early spring of 2019 together with unforgettable impressive Uyuni salt lake in Bolivia. The two has drastic comparisions between nature and artifactuals.
